TSK Electronics was founded in 1958 by Theodore Stanley Kedzierski, a self taught engineer with over 15 years of audio communication experience with the Transtudio Corporation. Ted's vision was the sales and installation of intercom and security systems in upstate New York.
The Webster Electric Company signed TSK Electronics as a full franchised distributor in 1961, representing their wide range of sound and communication products. Through this association, TSK engineered and installed some of the largest intercom systems in the country. This one man operation became an exclusive communication design company for several nationwide firms.
As other manufacturers began dropping products from their catalog, TSK created replacements. This also resulted in some unique interface devices for use in other company's systems. TSKCOM was adopted as the product logo and by the end of the 70's, Ted's three sons joined the business.
In 1984, TSK Electronics incorporated and moved to larger facilities. The major focus of TSK's business was the design and manufacture of specialized communication systems for Motorola, the New Jersey Turnpike and several Energy Management companies.
In October 1989, the company's operation was passed on to Ted's sons. The contracting portion of the business was phased out and all efforts were devoted to manufacturing their own product lines. It was difficult ending the many business associations that spanned 30 years, but the goal was to create premium products for the industry.
The first product, the Series 6000 Modular Master Intercom, began production early in 1990. Cast Aluminum and Vandal Proof Remote Speaker Stations were added soon after. The Audio Surveillance products, Long Line, Fiber Optic and Tie Line Interfaces elevated TSK Electronics, Inc. to become a major force in the industry.
